We’ve been in our house about six weeks now, and things are finally starting to feel settled. Our belongings arrived from Spain after nearly three months (hooray for warm clothes—just in time for the temps to drop into the 30s this week!), so we’ve been busy unpacking and getting organized.

I’ve focused a lot of my time and attention on the kitchen lately. It’s where every meal is made, bills are paid, the family calendar is coordinated, and where I spend a good part of my day working. (In addition to writing this newsletter and blog, I’m also a dietitian, recipe developer, and food photographer!)

Needless to say, I need a kitchen that’s organized and set up for maximum efficiency so I’ve leaned heavily on my 10 Rules for Organizing.

Today, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at our simplified kitchen—what I’ve pared back over the years, how I’ve organized it for efficiency, and the systems that keep it running smoothly.
